Cyclocross season is upon us.... first local event is 22nd September at the black isle showground then on 13th October at Merkinch ...
CX is a great leveler, yip speed helps but bike handling can make a huge difference, so anyone up for a short coaching session?
Nothing intense, 30 to 45 mins looking at some key skills that can make a great difference.
Anyone up for it?
Alan

Hi Alan, I'd certainly be interested in giving it a try. Having watched the way MVDP powers thru events it looks great fun. Only problem is trying to find a time to get out and play! If others are interested and a time can be sorted, I'll see if I can juggle things to make it

I’m not sure about an event but definitely up for finding out more - and better bike handling skills are always a bonus!

Thanks for the response guys... Would this Thursday evening (19th) be ok for everyone? Its getting dusky after 7 and dark by 8, maybe meet 6 or 6.30? Thoughts on times location? Im thinking back of 6 at either car park at inshes park or the turning circle at Merkinch?
I reckon approx. 30 to 40 mins looking at a few skills;
Race start dismount/ remount bike lift cornering
Next day im free is Saturday the 21st could do this at the black isle show ground or at merkinch
Next day could be 29th sept at Merkinch

Hi Alan Thursday evening or Saturday 21st would be fine for me. Is the turning circle at Merkinch just where the path comes out from the canal? (From memory there is a wall on a building painted with a dolphin etc) Gem

Joe I think there is a turning circle at the very end of the road at South Kessock. 6 or 6.30 is fine with me

Still have to confirm with the wife, but should be able to make 6 for half six. My understanding is that turning circle is the one right at the end, past the old south kessock ferry slipway. https://maps.app.goo.gl/c1KBe8fz5MdnaZiv5Alastair
