Hi All,

This Saturday's club ride is to Crofters Café in Rosemarkie.

There are two routes, the longer route for Group 1 and Group 2 and a shorter route for Group 3. The distance of the shorter (Group 3) route is 80km with an elevation gain of 635m and the longer (Group 1 & 2) route is 104km with an elevation gain of 1073m. Please download the route of your choice to your bike computer if you have one:

Group 1 & 2:
https://www.strava.com/routes/3157301752674569550
Group 3:
https://www.strava.com/routes/3157308729575274630

Start time for all groups is 0900 and the route starts and finishes at Fairways. Anyone wishing to join the ride needs to post a response below by 19:00 on Friday evening, after which, the ride will be closed.

We ask that folk pre-select groups, either 1, 2 or 3, based on an average speed. Please note that speeds are a rough guide and may be slower or faster depending on conditions. We will endeavour to accommodate your group selection, dependent on rider numbers and availability of ride leaders. For the safety of all riders we operate a no-drop policy on Saturday rides.

Group 1 - 16-18mph / 26kph-29kph
Group 2 - 14-16mph / 22kph-26kph
Group 3 - 13-15mph / 21kph-24kph

If you want to challenge yourself then you can select a faster group than your usual, but with the option of dropping down after the coffee stop.

The weather looks favourable but as always, please monitor the forecast, bring appropriate clothing and come prepared for likely eventualities. Please also monitor the Forum and ICC WhatsApp, should the ride need to be cancelled.

Please ensure your bike is in a roadworthy condition and that you are carrying spare inner tubes, tyre levers and a method of inflation (a pump or C02 cannister) as a minimum.

Finally, please also note that we ask that everyone carries ICE (In Case of Emergency) details with them. An ICE card or similar should be carried in your back pocket or saddle bag, detailing the name and phone number that should be contacted in case of an emergency.

See you Saturday or see you on the road

Gary

I'm time pressed on Saturday so group 3 so I at least get out.
Failing numbers being enough I'll just do my own thing.

If we do that it's 48 miles before the coffee stop and we won't get there until midday.
