More good news!...I'm just wondering how you'll get a full cake in your back pocket?? BigGrin

Entered...there is very little that gets on the way of me and a cake!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Cool! We'll have quite the peloton!

(you're still doing some work on the front Iain - you don't get off that easy!)

I did this event last year as well and despite it blowing a hoolie I thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately I canโ€™t make this weekend, but sure youโ€™ll all have a great day.

As James said above - looks like we have a bit of a peleton for Sunday which should make the miles tick by easily and quickly....hopefully!

The registration opens at 7am with the event kicking off at 8.15am - so why don't we try and get a coffee/tea/cake/sing happy birthday together before the off....what about 7.45am?..or just see when everyone turns up..

There's also some chat about meeting after the event for something to eat and a beer??....a fine suggestion from Raymond!
Any thoughts?...personally I'm up for it - basically any excuse not to have to cook and there's beer involved as well...a bit of a no brainer for me!
If there's any interest, i was going to ask the rest of the club if they want to pitch up - not as a replacement for Dave's night but ANOTHER social occasion - get us being all interacticve!?

The only time I've been out with the club was after the Etape a couple of years ago and we went for a buffet curry in town ...Cinnamon I think it was called....but obviously open to alternatives/suggestions/being shot down in flames etc..
What does everyone think??

Sounds good Joe!

Was saying to Gemma the other day that it might be good to meet at Fairways in the morning and then ride in to the start together? We'd easily make the ton then too. Would probably mean meeting at around 07:20-07:30.

Hiya, Iโ€™ve signed up for the 54 mile, and someone else has too but Iโ€™ll let them own up themselves, not naming any names. See you all there.

Great to hear youโ€™ve both signed up...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Looks like weโ€™ve got quite a group ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ

How about meeting at Faitprways at 7.30am? That should give us time to get to the start point, sign on and sing happy birthday!?

Food/beer plans for later....any thoughts?

Gemma and I had thought about a 7:20 meet at Fairways so we can leave there at 7:30 - just gives us a bit of extra time to get sorted at the start.

Fairways meet is also handy for anyone who isn't sure on exactly where we're going!

I believe we'll be receiving an email tomorrow from the organisers giving more details.

I'll be at Fairways beforehand.

If people don't want to go out for food later there is always an option that we get a drink (beer) and/or food straight after the cycle if its nice weather. If we could find somewhere to sit outside it means we can keep an eye on our bikes. I haven't been here in years but Dows is an option as it has the outdoor seats/grass area. Or the Three Witches beside Asda has outdoor seating.

That's a good idea Gemma - I'm up for that! The weather forecast is looking really good at the moment so sitting outside will be fine.

Everyone else OK with that plan? We can discuss on Sunday anyway and see what everyone wants to do. Straight after the ride seems the best plan to me.

Evening all.....so it looks like the event tomorrow is starting a little earlier than planned and the registration closes @ 7.40 or so...
Could we try and get to the meeting point by 7.15 so that we can head off as close to 7.20am as possible?
Cheers
See you in the morning.

PS....heโ€™s trying to keep it very quiet but apparently itโ€™s Iainโ€™s birthday tomorrow ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ˜‚
