Hi folks,

As you’ll know, the COVID situation has moved on over the last couple of months, although this hasn’t resulted in any major changes for club activities in the Highland area (in Level 1). A couple of quick updates.

Restrictions on outdoor socialising have now been relaxed slightly in Level 1 to allow eight people from three households to meet outdoors, which should make things a little easier at café stops. In Highland, the indoor limit at cafes remains six people from two households.

Scottish Cycling have now provided a table which summarises the rules for club and non-club (‘recreational’) cycling across all of the Scottish Government COVID protection levels. This may be helpful if cycling elsewhere in Scotland and includes some useful clarification about cycling across local authority boundaries between different levels (although it doesn’t yet reflect the recent change to meeting up in Level 1 as above).

I hope this is useful - all the best,

Mark
